National Health Center Week 2026

Fetter Health Care Network proudly recognizes National Health Center Week 2026, a celebration of America’s Community Health Centers and their 60-year legacy of providing high-quality, affordable, and accessible care to millions. This year’s theme, Building Innovative Care Where It Matters Most, celebrates how Community Health Centers like Fetter use creativity and commitment to advance innovative solutions that meet patients where they are and improve primary care delivery, access and outcomes nationwide. National Health Center Week runs from August 2 to August 8, and Fetter will have a variety of events and activities to match each theme day!

This special focus day recognizes the lasting impact Fetter Health Care Network has made across the Lowcountry of South Carolina – expanding access to high-quality, affordable care and improving the health and well-being of our communities for decades. Through reflection and celebration of the upcoming 60th anniversary in 2027, we highlight the milestones, partnerships, and people who have shaped our journey, while reaffirming our continued commitment to advancing health equity and serving as a trusted healthcare home for all.

THE ON-SITE APPRECIATION TOUR

Monday, August 3rd – 8:00 to 5:00 PM

All Fetter Health Care Network Sites

Fetter Health Care Network honors the incredible individuals whose compassion, dedication, and teamwork make our mission possible. The Executive Team will conduct an On-Site Appreciation Tour to connect with employees, express their gratitude, and strengthen relationships across the organization. During these visits, they will deliver staff appreciation T-shirts and managers will supply lunch as a small token of thanks for the valuable contributions made every day. We look forward to celebrating and recognizing our teams together.

PATIENT APPRECIATION DAY

Tuesday, August 4th – 8:00 to 5:00 PM

All Fetter Health Care Network Sites

Fetter Health Care Network will host small events at every site designed to ensure patients feel welcomed, valued, and encouraged to continue their care with us. Staff will greet patients upon arrival and offer refreshments at stations available in the lobbies. Patients will have access to educational resources focused on blood pressure awareness and preventive health screenings, reinforcing our commitment to promoting wellness and early detection. Patients will receive special edition grocery bags, fresh produce boxes, and gas gift cards, while supplies last.

HEART HEALTH & BLOOD PRESSURE DAY

Wednesday, August 5th – 8:00 to 5:00 PM

Charleston & Thaddeus J. Bell, MD Family Health Centers

To raise awareness about hypertension among adult patients, participating Fetter Health Care Network sites will offer free blood pressure screenings, along with same-day evaluation and treatment by a medical provider when indicated and based on availability. Attendees will receive prevention-focused education on managing and reducing the risk of hypertension, a complimentary digital blood pressure monitor to help track their readings at home, and a goodie bag with over-the-counter essentials, while supplies last.

A DAY IN THE COMMUNITY

Thursday, August 6th – 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Hope Center

Fetter Health Care Network will strengthen its commitment to addressing social determinants of health through a community outreach and donation initiative benefiting the Hope Center. Staff will engage with community members by providing health education, information about available social service resources, and assistance with accessing care, including appointment scheduling. This event reflects our ongoing mission to improve health outcomes, reduce barriers to care, and support the unique needs of the populations and communities we serve.

COMMUNITY PARTNER RECEPTION

Friday, August 7th – 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM

Charleston Family Health Center

Fetter Health Care Network celebrates the dedication and impact of our community partners who help improve the health and well-being of the individuals and families we serve. During this special event, we will recognize honorees with small tokens of appreciation for their continued support and collaboration. Invitations have been extended to local politicians and community leaders to acknowledge their valuable partnerships. Guests will enjoy light hors d’oeuvres while networking with fellow community stakeholders.
