Charleston, SC – Fetter Health Care Network, a nonprofit healthcare organization that serves patients throughout the Lowcountry, launched its “Fetter is Here” campaign in February 2019, commemorating its 52 years of service to the area.
“We are pleased to share our campaign with the communities that we serve throughout Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton and Dorchester counties,” said Aretha R. Jones Powers, CEO of Fetter Health Care Network. “We want our neighbors and friends here in the Lowcountry to know that ‘Fetter is Here,’ and not just in a physical sense. We are here to provide compassionate, accessible and affordable quality health care to our patients, regardless of their ability to pay.”
Fetter was initially established in 1967 under the auspices of the Medical University of South Carolina in to provide comprehensive health care services to Charleston’s low-income community. The health care network now serves patients throughout Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton and Dorchester counties at more than 20 different sites, including 11 locations that are open year-round and additional seasonal sites.
“We are thankful to have made great strides in expanding our care and services in 2018 through the opening of our Rose D. Gibbs, MD Family Health Center in Moncks Corner, our Thaddeus J. Bell, MD Family Health Center in Summerville, and new pharmacies at several locations,” said Powers. “With this new year, we are delighted to launch our mobile dental unit along with several other initiatives that will continue to expand our offerings here in the Lowcountry.” To learn more about Fetter Health Care Network, its locations and its services, visit FetterHealthCare.org.
